Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to three (3) types of parties:
- Company – Semi-Clever Software, Ltd., an Ohio limited liability company.
- Software User – Any sworn law enforcement officer or support person employed by a United States or Canada municipal, county, state, or federal law enforcement agency (or similar agency regardless of name with the legal authority to request and execute search warrants).
- Advertiser – Any natural person or legal entity with the authority to transact business within the United States and/or Canada.

Allowed Use. Software Users and Advertisers are only authorized to view, copy, print, and distribute information obtained from this website so long as (1) the document is used for informational purposes by law enforcement agencies, judicial officers, persons having been searched and their legal counsel and staff, and actual or prospective advertisers; and (2) unless the source is obvious by its content, any copy of the document (or portion thereof) includes the following copyright notice: Copyright © 1999-2026 Semi-Clever Software, Ltd. Installing Software. Software Users may, at no cost to them, download, install, update, and use Company’s software program named and known as Take It! Cloud Legacy Version with no restrictions on the number of software users; and may freely distribute copies of the said software program to any other law enforcement agency located within their agency, state, province, or territory. By downloading, installing, or updating the said software program, Software Users acknowledge and agree they are aware the software program requires a current version of Microsoft Word, which must be purchased separately from third party vendors. The software program (or any of its components, in particular Documents or Offense Language Files) may not be sold, otherwise transferred for gain, or used for any other purpose whatsoever. All express or implied warranties as to fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Sales Tax. Advertisers shall be responsible for providing Company with either a tax exemption certificate, or a citation to the law of their jurisdiction demonstrating why Advertiser is not required to pay sales tax. Sales taxes shall be assessed on all Advertisers unable to provide such a certificate or citation.
International Advertisers. Customs and import duties may be applied to international orders when the website and/or advertising is used in a foreign jurisdiction. Such charges are the responsibility of Advertiser and vary from country to country. Contact Advertiser’s local customs office for details.
Void Where Prohibited. Although the information on this website is accessible worldwide, not all products or services discussed in this website are available to all persons or in all geographic locations or jurisdictions. Company reserves the right to limit the provision of their products or services to any person, geographic area, or jurisdiction it so desires and to limit the quantities of any products or services that it provides. Any offer for any product or service made in the materials on this website is void where prohibited.
Miscellaneous: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties. The Terms and Conditions supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written between all parties. No modification of these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless authorized by Company. If any provision of the Terms and Conditions is found to be contrary to law, then such provision(s) shall be construed in a manner to closely reflect, as much as possible, the intentions of the parties, with the other provisions remaining in full force and effect.
Governing Law: In the event of litigation all parties agree that the Law of the State of Ohio shall apply and all parties shall consent to the jurisdiction of said State’s courts, or in the event of diversity of citizenship, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. All parties expressly waive a trial by jury.
Privacy Policy
Software Users. We only maintain the username, agency, and email address of the law enforcement officer or staff person requesting software download rights.
Advertiser Orders. If you advertise with us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you such as name, email, and business address; and financial information such as credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders and maintain services to you. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
Social Security Numbers and Dates of Birth. We DO NOT require your social security number or date of birth for any reason whatsoever.
Uses of Information. We use the information collected solely for our own use for the purposes stated herein. We DO NOT sell or otherwise provide your information to any third parties.
Communications from the Site. All of our software services are sold on a calendar quarter subscription basis, so we will periodically send you information on advertising updates in sufficient time for you to order the update before the current subscription expires. Out of respect for your privacy, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see the “Choice and Opt-out.”
Customer Service. Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the programs you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.
Profile. We store information that we collect through cookies solely for the purposes set forth herein.
Choice/Opt-out. We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personal identifiable information used for certain purposes when we ask for this information. For example, if you advertise with us but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material you can indicate your preference on our order form.
Log Files. As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use certain information to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this type of automatically collected data to personal identifiable information.
Cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We NO NOT link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
We use both session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.
We set a persistent cookie to store your passwords, so you don’t have to enter it more than once. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.
